This year’s annual CIS Conference is approaching, February 28 through March 2, and ColumbiaSoft will be on hand to showcase electronic document management solutions for government.
The annual CIS 2018 conference offers sessions and programs addressing the unique needs of public employers, officials, and agents. Each year, leaders from across Oregon gather to discover best practices related to employee benefits, risk management, pre-loss and more.
CIS (Citycounty Insurance Services), presenter of the conference, was formed by the League of Oregon Cities and the Association of Oregon Counties to meet the risk management and employee benefit needs of Oregon cities, counties and other eligible local governments.
On Thursday, March 1 at the conference, ColumbiaSoft will demonstrate how cities, counties, and government agencies are reducing risk and improving the efficiency of critical records-keeping using electronic document management software for government. Highlights include how:
- Paper records can be digitized and made secure
- Staff can search and self-retrieve files
- Citizens can access information on the web
- Electronic forms can replace paper-based forms
- Records are managed in accordance with government records policies
- Information is secure
CIS uses Document Locator as well, as its fundamental file management system. In a case study, CIS Executive Director Lynn McNamara said, “If Document Locator didn’t exist, it would add hours to our day.”
We hope to see you at the conference in Salem, Oregon on March 1!
